I don't know where this should go...so I'm posting it here...and if it's wrong someone feel free to move it I make layouts using psp7 for my website...and I really like to make an awesome template for my board instead of just changing the colors and background. How would I do that? For example...on this one...did they put the code for the image that has the "free template" links in the header? How do they get everything to piece together? I'm lost. This entire forum is completely awesome...even the tag buttons! I'm wanting to make a red/yellow rose template with some faeries...(my board is "The City of Faerie Roses" --> faeriejane.proboards14.com <--) but I'm not quite sure how....can anyone point me in the right direction? Thankyou!!

Hm. No replies. Maybe I should add that I am very fluent in html...so I'm not asking you to teach me how to make a website or something like those newbies do (I get that in my guestbook and on my tag board all the time "This websites kewl! Can you teach me how to make a website?" It drives me crazy) and I've made quite a few layouts in psp7 using an image slicer and then taking the code into notepad....
I just need to know the diff between making a layout for a website and a forum...and how I get everything to piece together. What do I insert in the headers...what do I insert in the footers....etc....basic pointers....
Thankyou...

You mean you want the top Header of the template, and the footer of a template to work with links? If not can you explain it a little more.

Actually...I figured that out. I didn't know how to get the whole thing to piece together...but I just put the image in the header...I used an image mapper. But I do have a new question...how do you get the color of the box (the box with the forum's name in it) to change on mouse over? Same with the threads....

And another thing...I can't get my header to align with the rest of my board...theres a space inbetween it. And no matter what I change the number to in the positioning code...it doesn't move.
Here's my code...
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> <!-- document.getElementsByTagName('TD')[0].background='http://www.meganlovesdance.com/images/forum/tablebg.gif'; // --> </script> <style type="text/css"> <!-- font {font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: 16px;} textarea {font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: 16px; color: #000000;} input {font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: 14px; color: #000000;} select {font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: 16px; color: #000000;} .welcomebg {background-color: transparent;} .catbg {background-image: url(http://www.meganlovesdance.com/images/forum/gradientred3.gif); background-repeat: repeat;} .bordercolor { border-color: 000000; border-width: 2; border-style: solid; } --> </style> <center> <table width="680" border="0" align="center" rightmargin="0" leftmargin="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tr> <td> <IMG NAME="header10" SRC="http://www.meganlovesdance.com/images/forum/header1.gif" WIDTH="657" HEIGHT="111" BORDER="0" style="position: relative; top: 40px Border="0" USEMAP="#header1"> <MAP NAME="header1"> <AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="7,90,110,110" HREF="http://faerieforum.fateback.com" TARGET="_blank" ALT="Visit our website!"> <AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="134,89,331,110" HREF="http://faerieforum.fateback.com/legend.html" TARGET="_blank" ALT="Read the legend and our history!"> <AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="349,90,475,109" HREF="http://faerieforum.fateback.com/awesomecitizens.html" TARGET="Awesome Citizens!"
