Alright, once I finish coding my website, I plan on recoding some parts of it, and releasing it as a content management system (CMS). So far, here's the list of things I have to add ~ ~ Installation ~ Member System ~ Download System ~ News System ~ Affiliates/Supporters System ~ Shoutbox In my mind, that list is way too short. What else do I need to add to make a decent system?

Making sure your system is secure, would make a very decent system.

I'll have everybody I know try and hack it, don't worry. I may go as far as to ask some professional crackers to try and get into it. This will be secure, so don't worry.

Perhaps make everything extendible? Like, code the backbone of the CMS (member system, page management) as core modules, and others (like blogs, shoutbox etc) as optional modules which the administrator can add or remove. Also, create a framework for the optional modules, such that it can be easily extended.

Yeah, I have that. I even planned on maybe a dynamic drag-drop where you want modules to appear. That would be cool.

Cool.
Might I suggest not allowing logged in members to register.

Unless they have admin powers. If that's the case, they should be allowed to create new accounts. Although, I should be nice and take out the ToS verification for that occasion. XD

Page Management - The ability to control the URL, content and the privileges required to view the page, as well as providing the means of producing links that would update when the page URL changes (possibly through a template engine).

XD You should make it so the user that uses that created account still has to agree to the ToS once, like the first time they log in. Page Management - The ability to control the URL, content and the privileges required to view the page, as well as providing the means of producing links that would update when the page URL changes (possibly through a template engine). I believe those are called Permalinks.
A good template system that allows the user to make new pages with no real knowledge of HTML would be great. Permissions for everything (use like bitwise permissions and allow them to create groups and give them permissions to certain pages/categories/etc.) If you need to use bitwise permissions, I think I uploaded my functions for them a long time ago, just search thru wherever the old server side board is for bitwise and dmsuperman.
