You know, I'm not completely sure what he did to accomplish that... A large portion of it looks like he created a diagonal pattern and placed it over top of the entire image after over-saturating the images... but then he clearly denies that in the comments.
Either way, there are a few things you can do to get a similar look:
- Grungy brushes; the corners of his poster look like a lot of common grunge brushes you can find just by looking around DA for a little bit. Tackybrush.deviantart.com is one of the more common. - The pattern described above. Just create a small, 2x2px image and color the two diagonal pixels the colors you want them to be. Then go ahead and Edit>Define Pattern and you can then use it on top of any image you want. Play with the different layer styles to get an effect you want. - Use stocks of real paper. SXC and even some of the DA stock artists have made a wide range of antique looking paper available for you. That, combined with using either multiply, overlay, or soft light will help you to blur some of your stocks together and give you an old look...
