This applies to everyone, although our newer members may benefit from it more. It's not a rule as such, I'm not gonna go around hunting people down but I'd advise some caution, so you know what you are actually including in your work.
Images used in work are often refered to as "stocks". However, this often isn't the case. What isn't a stock: - Most images from a google search
- Most images based around games, music stars, sports stars (unless the site has obtained permission).
What is a stock: - Stocks are resources, an artist has created them to be used
- Still holds a copyright, yet the artist has allowed you to use them.
Where do you get them: Websites: Stock Exchange DeviantArt User Stocks IStock Photo Foto Search Free Stock Photos MorgueFile FreeStock.co.uk
Specific DeviantArt Stock Galleries: [Recommended By SSD Users!] Resurgere Zirtamgod GirlTripped Strangel SG-Stock Schizo-Stock Paradoxical Eternity's Stocks Barbie Doll PB Stock Lucias Stock Auralis Stock Virgin Stock This electric Heart Serp Stock
Terragen Stocks Terradem Terra-Stock
Thanks for reading, this is advice out of respect for other artists and the law. I do not wish to see people hunting people down for not following it, it is not your responsibility to deal with.
