Well, as the title suggests. I think it'd be cool to release t-shirt designs dedicated to the different versions of SSD. Of course, we could all wait till V6 before it gets started, but I personally would love to wear a white t-shirt with a green SSD logo. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

We looked at doing this sort of thing before with the art group, it is a really nice idea. However, when we looked at the costs involved in producing them and having to distribute them ourselves etc we probably wouldn't make a profit from it or break even. Yes, there are places that do all that for free, but from what I've heard from others is that the quality is poor.

Oliver, it doesn't cost a lot of money to make T-Shirts. And, if you take orders and get money BEFORE you order them, you should do just fine. I know, cause I make T-Shirts. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Though, shipping them MAY be a problem.

Also these companies, like to take bulk orders because it is cheaper.

Have you tried CafePress? A lot of people use them since they let you make stuff and sell it for only a small cut of the profit. I think they operate outside the US, as well, but I'm not sure. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Cafe press is okay, but if you want to do anything useful like customise your shop you have to pay them

Actually, i have been thinking about this before..
why don't just produce the design along with the images and words and then we'll print them ourselves?

simply put way to much will go into making something that may or maynot turn out well.
its a big gamble the way i see it. if you really like ssd im sure you can get oliver or someone to make the logo for u and you can make yourself a personal one from a site were you get to make your own tshirts or whatever.

Psh... its called a cereal box and a can of spray paint. Cut out your design and make a stencil and rattle can that graphic onto a t-shirt of your choice. BAM! SSD t-shirt.
Its easy, Ive done probably 10 different designs for local punk/ grindcore bands, they all turn out nice and the paint stays on and still looks good.

Not everyone has the equipment to do such a thing though. i didn't actually mean that WE as in we. I meant that we will go to a store that will be the one to print for us. Like for ex. last year we printed our batch t-shirt. My classmate made the design and then each of us got a copy of it then I went to a mall to let it print. I provided the shirt, though. Everyone else did the same thing.

It would be cool with a SSD t-shirt, or something O.o c'mon ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) you can even aern some moneys by selling them! And then you could start some sort of designing t-shirt boards, where people can make a symbol, or image that you can put on the t-shirts *Dreaming about funny t-shirt like things*

It would be extremely difficult to make money off of the though. Unless you mass produce them, you aren't going to make anything off of it

I'm making a profit of 84% for each shirt I sell.
And I only produce 15 of each design at a time.

Not everyone has the equipment to do such a thing though. *raises hand* *jumps up and down* I have acess to all the equipment to do so. i can make six shirts at a time with a full crew. About twenty four people ( i would figure a way to pay them) could do the job. I figure letting them make their won shirt (only one or two) would be a good enough reward.
