Small is the understatement of the century. www.worldgoneblind.com/images/crap.gifI'm back in school (crap) and using Internet Explorer (even worse) on Citrix. Check the link. Nothing's working. Nothing. Mine eyes. They burn! Help, please! Using IE 6.0. Using Java 1.4.2_05 ♥ Mastermind

Elixant server(where the images are hosted) would of popped down for a quick cup of tea. Don't worry, this has happened before on all browsers. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Uhm.. No. Still not back. And...
Aha! My school blocks solidsnakedesigns.elixant.com for "Pornographic Content."
SolidSnakeDesigns.com, however, is still available to me.
Odd.

We could get James or David or ACoolie or Eric or DM (Longer list than I expected it to be. lol) to write up a greasemonkey script that gets rid of the elixant part and changes it to just the domain name for you. Or we could always just delete the unecessary elixant part altogether. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Is it possible to get it unblocked? Or are you just not meant to be on the internet for social purposes?

As Oliver said, and I doubt SSD ever had porn hosted...is all of elixant blocked? elixant.com ? Hence that is against their rules and than show the computer technition the privacy policy.

Nah there is no porn here, but often these things look for keywords and when they see them it blocks the page. But I don't see why it blocks the subdomain address and not the domain.

Bess blocks anything with "Elixant" in the title, least that is how it is at my school. No way to change it without admin privledges, something my friends and I have been trying to acquire for two years to no avail.
Best bet would probably be getting a greasemonkey script that changes solidsnakedesigns.elixant.com to solidsnakedesigns.com or forcing the monkey to change the image links. Otherwise, you'll be viewing without images. I know Firefox seems to give more support for the images than IE does, so you could install that.
(If you can't install on the computer, you should be able to install it from your student folder. Find your IP Address in IE and use that in Connection settings under the options menu and use Port 8080. That is the Mozilla forum help guide to installing Firefox at school. I do it and it works perfectly.)

1. Can't get it changed, unfortunately. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) 2. Installing is a no-no. They watch my account like hawks. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) 3. A grease monkey script would make it too slow to be worth it. As long as it's only me with the problem, I don't care. I just figured I'd bring it up in case it happened to others, too. Thanks. ♥ Mastermind

Hmm. They got pissed at me when I installed a legal version of Photoshop onto my computer in Web Design because I said Fireworks was gay and obsolete. Oh well.

Could it possibly be blocked because it says solidsNAKEDesigns? I doubt it has to do with Elixant. Afterall, he said SolidSnakeDesigns is available.

SSD is blocked on the system my school uses. Perhaps that particular browser was hacked to get past it?

Kinda dumb, but we do hsve the password. A suggestion would be to install Fx on a flash drive, and run it from that.

Heh. I can't pull any serious hacking on these machines, because I know all the computer teachers and administrators on a first name basis, but I've managed to move a school computer's IP-- to Puerto Rico ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) . I'll put up with it, or watch it through an anonymous service. ♥ Mastermind

He said that the password is 30 characters long and doesn't appear in the coding like other set passwords on our system. We've got 12 of the 30 characters, least we think so. We'll have it before we graduate next year.

*coughs*Brute*coughs*Force*coughs*It*coughs*
Let's see, 26 letters, times 2 cases, plus 10 numbers, is 62 alpha-numeric characters.
62 to the 30th is 5.912221344e+53.... At three hundred guesses a second (pessimistic, if you've got a decent processor), it will take you 6.249176966e+43 years to guess. ^_^
I think my math went off...

I did find a way to transfer files to another computer using the network. I also found a list of all the students and their usernames. That's about it... it's not very interesting.

Eh. I found one of those, once... In the Shared folder. Whoops. My favorite method of screwing over the school's tech people: 1. Pop the side off the case 2. Remove the CMOS battery (little disk, looks like an oversized watch battery) 3. Put the CMOS battery back in (your boot order is now reset, with CDROM on top) 4. Boot to Knoppix 5. Copy the WINDOWS/system32/config/SAM file to a jump drive 6. Take said jump drive home 7. Use SAMInside to break the encryption, and return the password 8. Use that password. But wait. It gets better. If your school has a lot of computers (like mine does)... That password will work on all of them, because odds are that your tech people didn't bother assigning a new password to each computer. www.thebroken.orgRock on! ♥ Mastermind
