Aleon: First, is it actually more organized to put the opening bracket on a new line? Second, for location.href, if someone has "action=im" in their probards url, it is not nescessarly the im page. I would do location.search which only has everything after and including the "?."

I would do location.search which only has everything after and including the "?." Yes, brackets on their own lines is much more organized. You'll also notice that professional scripters use that sort of syntax too. It's a widely-accepted programming style, allows you to see exactly where blocks are and what not.
