Nice top 5 music artists, dude. (just read it) I was shocked you even heard about most of them. There's obviously more to today's music than Disturbed and Sevendust. =P I'll probably do some extreme metal next time around, like Amon Amarth and Strapping Young Lad, just to keep it fresh. Or maybe some drum and bass. Pendulum, mang.

I would like to file a complaint: nrich didn't answer my question [green dude, green....] AND he was mean to me.
But I still love you cause you like JAne's addiction and referenced their best song [well, my favorite] "Jane Says."
Go you, kid.
"You treat me like a raaaag doll!"

I am a gamer, so I have to say that the XBOX 360 Hidden Cost article has some errors for the pricing. 1) For the wireless controller issue, there isn't a core package anymore, all of the packages come with a wireless controller now. 2) Play and Charge kit is a ripoff, which is why you buy rechargeable batteries. You save money and can use them for more than just the 360 controllers. 3) Most people don't play wirelessly, so... that shouldn't be added into the hidden costs. Ethernet connection has no extra cost, so... 4) HD-DVD is officially dead. In no way can you add that into the hidden costs. I can see why Jon you would make the mistakes, but somebody on the Herald staff should have checked to see why these hidden costs really aren't hidden costs. Out of that one specific article, though, I noticed the last 5 articles were "... Month of May". That's just a little ridiculous, if you get my point.

What a surprise, people at SSD moaning. Pointing out what you have done wrong and not commenting on what you have done right.
I'm f**king tired of it.

Lighten up, you can only see so many "great job!" comments in a row before you get caught up in it. There's always gonna be errors and the job of people posting on forums is to find them and complain immediately. I think it's good that we're discussing the errors to give better feedback on the research aspect of the articles.

This is a comment thread, the guy commented on this months herald in a civil manner. Nothing wrong with that! Everybody makes mistakes!

craz makes a great point. Criticism is part of being a writer, you just gotta learn how to take it and use it to better yourself, your research and your writing. So do that. Don't get bitchy over it.
Anyways, so what? There's "month of May" articles. Besides, this last month was very hard for everyone with so much going on. We got in what we could, and that's what counts. We still tried and didn't just fail.

-v-: Prove it.
It's amazing how everyone misses my point. It's not about being a writer, people moaning about bad things and not saying well done for good things is true of SSD in general.

Jon, honestly, calm down. I am calm, thanks anyway.
I'm pointing something out therefore I must be angry?

Jon, honestly, calm down. I am calm, thanks anyway. If you say so, but that was a bit of a stroppy, immature response to constructive criticism.

I am calm, thanks anyway. If you say so, but that was a bit of a stroppy, immature response to constructive criticism. Immature? Again, I was pointing something out. People putting sarcastic no picture posts sigs in their sig space, that is immature. Also, people do get a bit stroppy if other people keep chipping away at them.

Mm, there's a difference between immaturity and fun. And Jon? You're really representing the former right now.

You both need to stop. I'm getting pretty sick of the petty arguments over nothing. We have a PM system for a reason. You have a problem with how mature or immature someone's being? Then argue the point via PM.
Jon; leave out pointing out what other's have in their sig space. They're free to put whatever as long as it doesn't break the TOS or Forum Policy, and those, do not. Everyone may not like the "picture posts only" however, as long as it fits, and it's not a constant thing, then it's okay. If you want to argue the point, again, take it to a PM. If either of you want to further discuss this with me, then again, I think you know what I'm going to say by now, am I right?
Good. Now, as for the "never any good comments vs. bad comments" ...there's plenty of good comments. There are a few bad ones, but they're constructive so we don't discourage it. Jon, if you don't like it, feel free to vent to me in a PM, or to the poster of the post. Frankly, I don't want to see anymore posts in here referring to the criticism or any of the points you've made. Otherwise, I'll lock the thread and we'll just refer all comments to my PM box, hmm?

If you say so, but that was a bit of a stroppy, immature response to constructive criticism. People putting sarcastic no picture posts sigs in their sig space, that is immature. People trying to divert attention away from themselves to something completely unrelated when pulled up about something, that is immature. If you produce a piece of work, or art, you will have people who criticise and people who praise you. All you need to hope is that the criticism is constructive and that the praise isnt just for the sake of being polite. In this case, the criticism was pretty constructive, your response was FAR from constructive and in the end- you learn nothing from it because youre too arrogant and immature to accept that you could do better. Sorry mate but its a fact of life. Get used to it. EDIT: sorry kay i was typing while you posted that...

So anyways...I like that you guys picked a non-new-release to feature in the movies section this month! The cd review was spot on also, it was short and too the point. I thought the little packaging spotlight was really interesting (though the link to the gallery isn't working for me).

Because good writers except criticizing from the reader, its apart of all forms of writing. Journalistic, blogging, novels, poems ... whatever, it isn't an insult or anything like that just merely an observation.
You really tend to tidy up your work if you listen, hell Pandora and the others really made me more aware of the spellings and structure over at the lit area.
