Looks like more non-standard crap that noob developers will create and us real developers will have to try to work around, as well as us safety conscienciece users will have to avoid websites using this likely bug and security prone features. ActiveX all over again :s

I like the webslice thing, and how it doesn't break the website to implement that.
Then again, knowing Microsoft, actual features are always not as cool as the preview.

It's complete shit. What displays fine in firefox is all messed up in IE. Honestly, IE and all it's users can shove it. I shouldn't have to build my website to W3C standards, only to have microsoft, yet again, screwing me.
When they hire some good developers, and they get their shit straightened out, then I will do browser checks that include IE. Until then, my browser check system I've been working on will have to do it's job, suggesting they download firefox.

It's the first Beta release. I know it should be better by Microsoft standards, or rather, the standards that a company like Microsoft SHOULD have.
But.... You get it.
*waits for future releases to take apart*

A "developer" is asking me why you would want IE on Linux? If you're a developer that uses linux, and gives a shit about IE users, then you would know it isn't always that convenient to shut down and reboot in to windows. Using two computers is also a burden. Having IE running on WINE would be sensible if you were a web developer with a brain. You do have a brain, don't you?

OOOH, BURN BURN. I must say epic, I actually respect 1/upteenth of your posts now!
Umm, both updates are pissing me off. Half my add-ons aren't working for FF 3 Beta 4. I'll wait it out until the final version comes out before I bother working on it. I spent like, a month working on a toolbar for Firefox2 now I get this shit..

Just so you know, you can run anything on linux. An-y-thing. Crysis. Supreme Commander. Dreamweaver. Launchy. Object Dock. MS Money. Do all of those run on linux?

They should. Granted, WINE may have to be adapted to work with Launchy and Object Dock because they are meant to actually coincide with windows it self. MS Money should work no problem. Dreamweaver will. Not sure what the first two are, games I'm assuming. In that case, possibly.

I was able to get Dreamweaver running on Ubuntu. But it's slow, and it crashes a lot. I think it was WINE that I used...

The way they'd show SSD up and render it would be different, hence making it matter.
