Artos, you're being far too cynical about this. If you've got your panties in such a bunch over it, you volunteer your skills next time they're looking for writers, join the staff, and never let life interfere with the internet. Someone else say it. If I do, it'll make me look bad.

Yes. Showing nothing is better than showing a half-hearted something. So you are angry with The Herald being late, yet you say you are more profound with nothing rather than something half-hearted? =/ If anything, I'd thought people would be getting more angry with the length of this month's issue rather than how it was released late due to a factor we couldn't control. It's not like this has become a pattern. We strive to be a professional magazine, but we are still very far away. Being late a couple times a year is not something people should fret over. It all comes down to responsibilities. When one person doesn't come through with their articles, it f's up the whole chemistry of the mag.

So you are angry with The Herald being late, yet you say you are more profound with nothing rather than something half-hearted? =/ If you can't do something right, then don't do it at all. If anything, I'd thought people would be getting more angry with the length of this month's issue rather than how it was released late due to a factor we couldn't control. It's not like this has become a pattern. Right, because people here don't do their bits a day before. We strive to be a professional magazine, but we are still very far away. ...Which is an admirable goal. It all comes down to responsibilities. When one person doesn't come through with their articles, it f's up the whole chemistry of the mag. I could have sworn someone said this a few years back.

If anyone here should take the blame it was me. Usually I'm the one that bugs people about their articles, sets things in stone on time, but guess what? -- life caught up with me. If you can't understand that, and forgive the writers for basically not having an editor, then oh damn well. I'm literally sick of being bitched at for something that's voluntary. I don't care if a school newspaper that is weekly is voluntary makes it out on time every damn month or not. Typically those kinds of things are easier to work around with a lot more people on staff that have the ability to take over if the editor is gone.
I mean seriously, do I have to apologize for losing the place I was staying? Or for focusing on school so that way I could walk across stage tonight and graduate? I think not. Numerous times I have held applications for the Herald. Those of you mainly complaining, haven't applied. Or Artos, you use to be an editor yourself. Frankly, you weren't perfect. YOu were a much better person then, as far as editing, you had your fair share of mistakes and life problems that got in the way so you need to lay off.
SSD use to be a community that could make the best out of anything. So damn what, it was two days late, big whoop. You don't like it? Then how about you take the time to write for us and fill in every single damn article that doesn't get submitted. Sorry, but my life comes before this, and a roof over my head sure as hell came before any of this.
Now, either you can reply by PM, or you can keep your yap shut. Anymore comments about this and I'll lock this. Constructive criticism is one thing, but being an ass about it is another. PM or nothing.

^_^ Hear Hear. This was a decent edition, despite its size. I think we did the best we could with what we had, and I'm proud that we got it out at all. Can't wait till July!!!

I am, especially wit those drums BUSTIN UM OUT BABY!!! I was pumped about the ability to make our own songs, but now I'm wondering what this new addition to the guitars could be. I guess I'll have to wait for the fall though ... Hopefully they don't add strings, that would kind of ruin it.

Wait... wouldn't that just mean that GH IV is a Rockband rip off? Because Rockband, IMO, sucks. But I can't use the guitars *lacks the coordination*... I just sing... >.>

Not at all ... I have never liked rockband either. There's just something about it that I don't like ... I'd play Guitar Hero III over Rock Band any day. In order for it to succeed it has to expand, and it is expanding for the better. Singing is so tough . I fail basically any easy song.

I prefer good ol' guitar, even though I am a real drummer outside of the virtual world. And I found a picture of the drums for you guys. Not so good quality but you can see what I mean by the elevation of the cymbals. here

I'd like to point out that I said "garage band" Also, Rockband came out after GH. They basically called GH out. They were gonna have like a Drum Hero, etc. But then Rockband was like Come on, bitches! And they just decided to expand and what not. The Nintendo DS version of GH looks sweet.

Singing is easy if you practice. I used to fail miserably on easy in Karaoke Revolution... now I play on Medium and Hard. Rockband though... god ALL those songs are easy to sing. D:
So... you guys play the guitars and drums, buy me a plane ticket, and I'll come sing for ya. ;D
